2 - Minute Tips - Declutter For Health

Am I the only one that can completely obliterate my desktop's background picture in a matter of hours? Would an industrial engineer have you fired for "theft of time" as you spend HOURS per week, just so that you can find that file you're looking for?..

Chances are, your internal thoughts of "I'll sort it later" are interrupted by a million other urgent tasks that somehow left another thumbnail icon stain on your desktop.

Watch this short, 2-minute tutorial to take the first step toward a healthier heart rate. If you like what you see. Download the free starter files here.

These were created on a Mac, but I've tested on PC (in the past) and they work just fine. If you get a "._" (dot, underscore) duplicate version on your PC, that can be deleted. It's a thumbnail file from Mac, that Windows PC's won't need.

Here you go, and be sure to check your pulse both before and after this task, while you're looking at your desktop! Who knows?.. There might even be a photo under yours that you wanted to make you feel even better!

Ah... Now doesn't that feel like you rule your desktop domain? CHECK YOUR NEW PULSE!

Ah... Now doesn't that feel like you rule your desktop domain? CHECK YOUR NEW PULSE!

Click the video below to see how it was done in 2 minutes. More time will be needed if the keystrokes are unfamiliar, but there are notes below to help with the process, and how to personalize it.

Sometimes sweeping it under the rug is the BEST thing you can do!

5 EASY STEPS TO BREATHING EASIER IN FRONT OF YOUR COMPUTER.

1 - Resist the temptation to start sorting before step 4.

2 - Create a Rug folder, or download our FREE Starter Folders (then customize to your liking).

3 - Select all files on your desktop, except for Drives, Trash Can, App Shortcuts or any other items that you want to stay. If you accidentally grab them, at least you'll know where they are!

4 - Drag them to your "My Rug" to sort when time really does allow. Let your trash be your trash, and your Rug give you sanity until you can use it.

5 - I recommend adding a date to your rug. "The Rug 140724". My personal preference is YYMMDD, and I change it each time I use the rug. If I am looking for something older than the Rug date, I know where to find it. Again - modify to your liking.

Passionate for nature, life, writing and sharing, this site is mutually dedicated to my three favorite vehicles through life - Photography, Writing and Speaking. As professional photographer I was (and still am) in my favored "Observer" mode. As writer, these observations exposed a deeper understanding into ethics, authenticity and leadership. As speaker, I get to be selfish. In giving we gain - big! By helping you to discover your own authenticity, passion and where you too are a leader, I get a huge pang of fulfillment. Yes, I am a giver - the most selfish sort of person that ever was. (that is, once you realize how great the results of giving truly are)
