Our Process:
Booking: Select the session that aligns with your goals and schedule directly through our live calendar.
Consultation: Upon booking, you'll receive an auto-reply with session details and preparation tips. Feel free to book a phone consult for further clarification.
Session: During your shoot, we'll discuss your objectives to ensure the final images meet your expectations. Multiple shots will be taken to provide a variety of options.
Selection & Retouching: Within 48 hours (sooner by request), you'll receive a selection of top images. Once you've made your choices, our retouching team will enhance them, focusing on natural and professional results.
Delivery: Final images are provided in both print and web resolutions, delivered via email within two business days of final retouching. Be sure to add us to your contacts list or check your junk mail if you’ve got finance-level protections on your domain. `
Special Considerations:
Make-Up Options: While many clients are satisfied with our retouching services, professional makeup can enhance your look. If you prefer to do your own makeup, our auto-reply will include density recommendations. For professional makeup services, we can provide referrals upon request. Most of my clients choose Sarah Adams for her expertise and approachable pricing.
Dating Profile Headshots: Expressions and styles differ between business and personal images. Please inform us if the photos are intended for dating profiles so we can tailor the session accordingly.

Headshots represent your vital first impression for the relationships you haven’t yet secured. LinkedIn profile photos and acting headshots have driven my business for more than 20 years. Corporate business portraits, branding images and lifestyle photography are all dubbed headshots, which now represents 75% of my daily business.
We will never know the clients who didn’t choose us because of a misread micro-expression or mood-triggering, less-than-authentic look. By using a clearly-outdated image it can project that we just don’t care.

STUDIO HEADSHOTS - Great for a more polished, professional appeal, we’ve got many colors and styles to choose from. Seasonal outdoor options at the studio provide a nice “Northwest” vibe using polished landscapes and water features. Looking for residency application headshots in Portland, we can shoot to spec for ERAS Headshots or any requests.s, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
HEADSHOTS - LOCATION - Anywhere within 15 min of the studio. I can help you decide on a location to match your desired style, anywhere within Portland Metro. If you want studio background options at your location, please choose this option to allow time for travel and setup.
LIFESTYLE & BRANDING - These options are within your environment, either posed or journalistic for marketing content. Today’s discerning clients can easily detect the stock images, which projects a less professional image of you/your business. These options include all of the digital images, exposure/exposure-corrected. Retouching is optional.

Quick note about prices… #1 - no catches. These options are all-inclusive with the number of image-files stated and you get to order from the privacy of your home and/or office. (nobody to up-sell you.) Just because I have a Lake O address, does not mean I’m more expensive. I found a perfect location, just off the freeway (cheaper rent), right before the RR Tracks (cheaper rent), so I’ve always kept things sensible. Also making it quick for me to dash out to YOUR location, keeping my off-site fees equally sensible.
After repeated comments on “wow, that’s only a few bags of groceries” it felt important to state that it’s not for lack of confidence. It keeps me striving even harder to make sure you’ll want to add on that extra image-file (still only 50. each) so that my 198. session might put me back to my 2006 price of $249. No obligations, I know that people just need “that one” image for LinkedIn profiles and bios. I look forward to serving you with images that far exceed your investment.
Our studio backgrounds are also portable, using the “Location/Destination” services. We have some outdoor options at the studio, many not available with a one-look session - the Two-look will give us time to run across the road and set up (guaranteed you’ll want more than one when you see - OR share your session with someone else for one each…)

STUDIO OPTIONS: GREAT FOR INDIVIDUALS & TEAMS, TO MARKET YOUR BUSINESS OR TALENT
More than flat backgrounds, you’ll find plenty of color options, incredible outdoor settings (n/a on 15 min. one-look session) and some “sets” to give a more modern or relatable vibe. Solid white is our #1 request for that fresh, clean, modern look. By default I shoot a very bright clean white that does not spill over as a halo. This allows you to use it as white, or to have the background knocked out as simply as green-screen. (to superimpose on marketing materials etc)
JUST SEEKING ONE, OUTDOOR LOOK? I’ve got several great options near the studio, but you’ll have to book the 2-LOOK to allow enough time. Most clients want more than one pose from outdoor options anyway.
DID YOUR COMPANY SEND YOU? If your company sent you for a specific indoor headshot, the One-Look will save them a few bucks AND save you 15 min. It’s $60 less than what most of our repeat clients have been paying since I reconfigured the studio for efficiency (I made great use of lockdown time)
SHOPPING BY PRICE?.. Please note: “Cheap is expensive.” After learning that phrase on a shoot in Kenya, it stuck with me in many ways - especially hearing from clients who went to a hobbyist before coming to Studio B (to pay again to meet their goal).

This is my full-time career which makes you my top priority - rather than you being my sideline to another job that comes first. I embrace systems-of-efficiently that allow me to deliver in a timely manner. You’ll be blown away by the quality of my AMAZING artist(s). Basic retouching is included with all purchased images & special effects can add some pretty inexpensive perfection. (Headswaps, braces removed, “…twenty years & twenty pounds…” HA - that one’s almost daily and nobody ever asks us to add them, though we can!)
Some of these may have been shot on-site at company locations. You can’t tell the difference, because I bring STUDIO lighting, and not pocket strobes.
A convenient option for monthly, company meetings, tradeshows etc. Saves 50 people driving to the studio.
